About

I'm a product designer working in small teams, from discovery to delivery with full ownership over what we ship. I prototype in code, so users test working software instead of mockups, and engineers get something real to build on. Most of my work is in complex B2B: hiring platforms, industrial monitoring systems.
My process starts with discovery. User research, existing insights, technical constraints and business requirements all shape the direction. Then I prototype, test with real users and stakeholders, and iterate until the design holds up.
Background
For four years I was the designer in a product trio at Instaffo, a German hiring platform: product manager, product designer, tech lead, with full ownership over what we shipped. Most of that time I owned the company side, the panel where recruiters post jobs, screen candidates and run their pipelines. At the end I moved to the Hiring Experience team, closer to what happens between a first message and a hire.
Today I design data-heavy interfaces for two mtu products: NautIQ Foresight, an equipment health system for vessels, and EnergetIQ, its counterpart for land-based power plants. The users are technical, the domains are complex, and my job is to make dense operational data readable and useful.
Nothing gets built alone
Every result on this site came out of a team. At Instaffo that was a product manager who challenged the brief, a tech lead who told me what the system could and could not do, customer success bringing in the angry emails, and the engineers who shipped it. I bring the design, the prototype and the stubbornness to get it tested with real users. The rest comes from the people around me, and it is the first thing I look at in a new team.
What I’m looking for
My sweet spot is small teams and complex products. Making complexity feel simple. I work remote from Portugal, EU timezones, and contract through my own company.
Outside work

I live near Peniche, on the Portuguese coast. When I'm not working, I'm in the water, surfing or fishing.
